The FM5T-TC 5-ton log splitter is a fast, compact, lightweight 5-ton log splitter and the ideal product for beginners or when using small to medium wood burners. It is best suited to splitting soft or green wood if you are splitting hard or knotty wood, you should consider the FM10 series of Duocut log splitters.
The FM5T-TC has a quick cycle time of 9 seconds, making it the fastest small log splitter. It can split logs up to 300mm / 12 inches in length.
The FM5T-TC has a 2200w motor and produces a genuine 5 ton of force, unlike other small log splitters, which only have a 1500 watt motor and produce 4 ton of force.
With its compact size and weighing approximately 32kg, it is easy to move around and store. To comply with the latest safety regulations, it has button and lever operation. It is supplied and filled with hydraulic oil and ready for use.

Does what it says it does with ease
An excellent bit of kit. Needed a splitter that was small and compact but strong enough to handle big lumps of hardwood. The FM5 does not disappoint. Super easy to use, small enough to stow away, and enough power to chomp through eucalyptus and semi seasoned oak. I’m a small statured woman who managed to rattle her way through 2m3 of 30cm ish long/wide cm hardwood rounds in about four hours. Pushed it to the limit with the eucalyptus, but it did it, and boy was it impressive. I just need three days of bedrest to recover!
I haven’t yet tried the stand nor the cage because of space limitation, but decided to get the one with the stand because we’re not getting any younger and the FM5T was only £20 more expensive than the one without the stand and the stand on its own costs nearly £70 as an extra.
